The solid carbon hybrid tip is light and soft to offer the best bite detection. Like the other three-piece competition rods, it is adept at casting delicate baits without blowing them up. This rod, however, is more suited to clean beaches and calm conditions. It makes the perfect long-distance and short-range rod when targeting smaller species such as flounder, dabs and whiting. Its an excellent bass rod and is well suited to fishing light for species such as garfish and mackerel.
