Daiichi 2340 – Traditional Streamer Hook – 6X Long

Introduction

Daiichi 2340 6X Long Traditional Streamer Hooks are preferred by some tiers for streamers because they like the aesthetics of the finished flies. A 6X-long hook allows the tyer to create long minnow imitations but keeps the bend of the hook near the tail of the fly. The hooks are made of the finest high-carbon steel, which is hardened and tempered to an exacting formula that makes for a long point life and a very strong hook. Daiichi hooks use a 12-degree constant taper ground needle point. This eliminates irregularities in shape, assuring no weak spots, and gives amazing speed of penetration.
