Introduction

The Cigar Bomber from Aqua Flies comes from a pattern originally designed for Atlantic Salmon on the Miramichi River in New Brunswick, Canada, by Reverend Elmer Smith in the 1960s. Smith was inspired to tie the bomber after witnessing a boy fishing for salmon using a deer hair mouse. This fly features a forward facing wing and tail, with a cigar-shaped packed deer hair body hackled with long dry fly hackle.
